Let’s make a Halloween shelfie!

Do you rotate your books with the seasons? We keep a small 3 shelf book area just for special seasonal books and we switch them out when the seasons change. This year I finally added the shelves to the wall and I was so excited to decorate them. I’m not sure what a styled shelf area is so, we’re calling it a shelfie!

Items you’ll need for your shelfie, but really you could add anything:

• Seasonal books (we’re going with Halloween right now)
• Garlands. Paper, felt, wood. You basically add anything that fits the season.
• Decorations- I taped witch hats to the ceiling but how about bats? Spider webs? Spiders? Ghosts?

Seasonal shelfies are fun and cute to look at but they also create excitement for kiddos to read. Also, there really isn’t an age limit! You could make a shelfie for kiddos from baby through college adult kiddos and even for yourself!
