Peppermint Bark
It doesn’t feel like Christmas until we make this yummy treat at home. I used to make mine in a flat dish and crack it into big chunks. However, once I found these molds it’s been a Disney Peppermint bark Christmas every year! These make such a great treat to gift to friends and neighbors and It’s SO easy to make…
Ingredients
- Equal parts milk (or dark)chocolate and white chocolate
- Peppermint extract
- Crushed candy canes for topping
- Sprinkles or any other cute toppings (optional)
Directions
- In a double boiler (boil water in a sauce pan and place a heat safe bowl on top) melt the white chocolate, stirring frequently. I also added food coloring to make my chocolate pink.
- Stir in peppermint extract to taste. I add very little because it’s potent. I would say 1/2 tsp per 12 oz of chocolate is good.
- Pour chocolate into your molds or pan. I used Mickey and Minnie silicone molds. Allow to cool. (You can put it in the fridge for 10 mins)
- Repeat step 1 with the milk or dark chocolate. Pour it into your mold over the hardened chocolate to create layers.
- Before the top layer hardens, sprinkle the crushed peppermint over the top and any other toppings you’d like. Allow to cool and remove from mold.
