Get organized now! Sep Content Planner.

We’re so close to September! Have you started planning your content? Having a dedicated calendar to jot down what I want to share has really helped me reel in my ideas. Clearly, putting my thoughts down on paper instead of having them live floating around

Dollar Tree Tic-tac-toe

Dollar Tree Tic-tac-toe

Did you know that the Dollar 25 Tree not only raised their price a quarter, but also sells $3 and $5 items? Well, one of those items is this ADORABLE Tic-tac-toe raw Halloween craft. I had a vision for this game as soon as I

Past Spooky Disney Decor

Past Spooky Disney Decor

One of my favorite Halloween Disney Decor themes. This will be the second Halloween in our new home and although I love this home, I still miss our old home and I miss our Halloween decor in that house. No matter how much I try, I feel like there just isn’t a spot to decorate like we did in our tiny condo. I don’t know how we doubled our home size but I feel like there’s less decor space.

My little babe was much smaller and our home was much more colorful. We lived 30 mins from Disneyland and I can’t help but think that heavily influenced our Halloween Disney Decor. I can’t help but share these photos again. I feel like they deserve a proper post and a place to live on the internet.

Monday Motivation

Monday Motivation

It’s Monday and like I like to see it…a mini New Year! There’s no motivation quite like the kick in the butt from our parents. How many times did I eye roll at this quote growing up? However, now? I wish I could hear these

No Touchy!

No Touchy!

A project born of rage and anger… Am I the drama? HA! But seriously don’t you hate it when you’re running around the house looking for a charger? The charger you always leave in the same spot and your husband SWEARS he hasn’t touched it?

Back to School Mickey Bars

Back to School Mickey Bars

Decorating Mickey Bars is one of my favorite ways to create a special treat without having to bake or make a big amount of anything. Let’s be honest, I don’t have anyone to give 11 cupcakes to or to share a big cake with. It’s just my little babe and mom & dad. Giving a pre-made treat a little glow-up just makes sense. Also, you know kids love to eat the same thing over and over again, so they’re happy with it!

Ingredients

  • Mickey Bars or any bars if you don’t want them Disney themed.
  • Melting chocolate or candy melts in white and if you wanna get fancy you can do regular chocolate color for the black and it will take much less dye.
  • Food colors
  • Vegetable shortening
  • Royal Icing

My tips for decorating Mickey Bars-

  • Work quickly because the chocolate hardens almost instantly. Melted chocolate + frozen bar.
  • Depending on your food coloring your chocolate might get thick and chunky. If that happens, you can easily thin it out by adding some vegetable shortening. I like to thin out my chocolate regardless for a smoother look. However, don’t thin it out too much or it won’t harden.
  • If you overheat your chocolate and it gets chunky, you can use the vegetable shortening trick again.
  • Try to make your hard 3D decorations before hand and then use your frosting or chocolate to “glue” them on to the bar. This way the decorations won’t harden on you as you work. Sometimes they just fall off because the Mickey bar cools down the chocolate too fast and doesn’t give it a chance to stick.
  • Use a photo for Reference or print out a picture of your design and put it under wax paper as a template to pipe your decorations.

EEKKK I’m spilling my crafting secrets! How do I come up with my crafts? I plan them out! I put this template together to help you create your own crafts using the planning method that works for me. This is how I do it: Brainstorm

Aug Content Calendar Template

Aug Content Calendar Template

Kid’s back in school, the house is empty and I need to get ORGANIZED. I’ve been slacking on my posting lately, mainly because homeschooling and summer vacation had me going bananas. I’ve never worked so hard till the day I stopped working. HA! Mom life

Back to School Pennant

Back to School Pennant

The Disneyland pennant is one of my favorite classic Disneyland symbols. I make them pretty often for different occasions and back to school is no exception.

One of the things my kid looks forward to on special days are the decorations I set up for her. On her first day of school I usually make her chocolate chip pancakes and after school we go out for sushi.

I drew out the template in Procreate and uploaded it to Silhouette to cut onto cardstock. I used the font Orange Grove for the “Disneyland” lettering. I downloaded it for free searching on Pinterest.

Levantate

Levantate

Just a little Monday motivation. If this song doesn’t hype you up, I don’t know what will. Years later and the lyrics branded into my brain. I’ll just sing along like I’ve been listening to it on the daily.
