DIY Heart Stirrers & Straw Toppers

DIY Heart Stirrers & Straw Toppers

I love to go a little extra with the details on holidays and these toppers and drink stirrers are so easy to make. You can make em with the kiddos or just whip some up to make any drink extra cute! You could also make em Mickey shaped (My favorite!) to add a little Disney Magic!

Materials

  • Craft paper in the color of your choice
  • Skewers and/or Straws (Eco friendly…Paper or reusable)
  • Glue of your choice, I did hot glue.
  • OPTIONAL- Letter Beads

Directions

  1. Cut half inch strips of 8.5″x11″ craft paper, length wise.
  2. Fold strip in half and then glue together the ends, outsides in.
  3. Chose how you want your shape to sit on the straw or skewer and mark the paper with a pencil to create the opening for the skewer or straw.
  4. I used a tiny hole punch to start my opening, then made the hole bigger using my skewer as a guide.
  5. Once your Shape is in place, you can add a dot of glue to secure it.
  6. OPTIONAL- I have so many letter beads due to the endless crafts I’ve tried during the pandemic. I glued some beads to the skewer or straw inside the shape to create an extra level of EXTRA.
