I’m a few days late but they’re here! I’ve created a few Disney inspired planners to help you stay organized during the crazy holiday season. The holiday craft planner can be used for any project. There’s an area to draw out your vision, get your

Dollar Tree Tic-tac-toe

Dollar Tree Tic-tac-toe

Did you know that the Dollar 25 Tree not only raised their price a quarter, but also sells $3 and $5 items? Well, one of those items is this ADORABLE Tic-tac-toe raw Halloween craft. I had a vision for this game as soon as I

No Touchy!

No Touchy!

A project born of rage and anger… Am I the drama? HA! But seriously don’t you hate it when you’re running around the house looking for a charger? The charger you always leave in the same spot and your husband SWEARS he hasn’t touched it? Well…I’ve fixed my problem and if you want to fix yours as well in the cutest passive aggressive way. I got you covered.

I created the template and cut it in my Silhouette machine. I’m very into the look of offsetting images right now. So I included that in the template.

Back to School Mickey Bars

Back to School Mickey Bars

Decorating Mickey Bars is one of my favorite ways to create a special treat without having to bake or make a big amount of anything. Let’s be honest, I don’t have anyone to give 11 cupcakes to or to share a big cake with. It’s

Back to School Pennant

Back to School Pennant

The Disneyland pennant is one of my favorite classic Disneyland symbols. I make them pretty often for different occasions and back to school is no exception. One of the things my kid looks forward to on special days are the decorations I set up for

Disneyfied Mailbox

Disneyfied Mailbox

Magic mail! How pretty is this Disneyland Mailbox inspired craft? Maybe my bills won’t bother me as much if they’re waiting for me in this ADORABLE envelope?

I found this metal envelope at the Target Dollar spot. I instantly knew this had to become a version of the famous Disneyland mailbox. HOWEVER, I kept passing it up because I didn’t want to be the person to do it. I really thought this was going to be a difficult craft and I am more of an easy peasy craft kinda person. If it involves more than a couple of steps, I don’t want to do it. A month later, I still hadn’t seen anyone make this craft, so I gave in and bought the envelope. I still. procrastinated a bit once I got it home but after getting started on it, I realized it was actually much easier than I had expected. I definitely. should have done it sooner.

Materials

  • Target Dollar Spot Envelope
  • Vinyl and Vinyl cutting machine
  • Template (attached at the bottom of the blog post)
  • Spray Paint- I used Rustoleum Candy Pink in Gloss
  • Sand paper
  1. Using a small screwdriver remove the screws to separate the envelope front and back.
  2. Lightly sand and clean everything to ensure the paint sticks and also so that any texture or writing doesn’t show through the paint.
  3. Spray paint the envelope with your favorite color and spray paint. 2-3 coats should be good, but you’ll also need a top coat to seal it. I waited a day to ensure it was completely dry before moving on to adhering the vinyl.
  4. Using the template and vinyl of choice cut out the design in your cutting machine. Making sure that you cut to the correct size. Make sure that the Text and the border are cut separately. I used Oracle vinyl and a Silhouette machine. Weed your design.
  5. Measuring the. center of the envelope and stencil, adhere your vinyl to the flat (back) portion of the envelope.
  6. Screw the envelope back together and then adhere the border. You’ll only be using a part of the top part of the border. I cut about 1/4 inch extra and tucked it into the inside of the envelope. That’s it!

* I used the template for the border but I used fonts Orange Grove and Rockwell for the writing.

** Orange Grove font is the one that looks like “Disneyland” font and can be downloaded for free online. I’ve had it for years, so I can’t recall where I downloaded it from but if you look it up on Pinterest you can find it.

See my Not so spooky Halloween tassel post for the tutorial.

Also, I really tried to make a DIY video, but I switched phones and didn’t realize that not all of my videos were backed up! WAH! Heres a short video of what I was able to salvage. If you have any questions on the DIY leave me a comment and I’ll definitely help!
